FREE VALENTINE’S DAY PRINTABLES

MbM_VDAY FREEBIE_MOCKUP_MAINHello lovelies!

The weekend is practically here…WOO. And I haven’t forgotten my little Valentine’s Day special for all you lovebirds out there, still on the hunt for last-minute gifts.

So I’ve put together THREE simple but funny/satirical typographic prints (including an anti-Valentine’s Day one) that you can easily print off, frame and gift your significant other…especially if they’re big into their prints. They are all set to A4 size which should make things easier for you guys if you have a printer at home or in your studio, and you can of course resize them and print them smaller. Perhaps as a series of framed prints? Anyhoo, I’ve provided both monochrome and colour version of the three prints so don’t fret if you haven’t got a colour printer!

Right then, for the prints, just click on the links below. For best results, print them onto good quality paper or some nice gesso paperstock if you have a fancy printer that takes varying paper weights.

My Hump Print   MONOCHROME   |   PINK

Men & Dogs Print   MONOCHROME   |   GREEN

Who’s Wears The Trousers Print   MONOCHROME   |   GREY

Oh and do check out my Print Shop for more of my Typographic Prints….a bit late to order for Valentine’s day, mind you, but you can definitely browse and buy for other forthcoming occasions….or if you just fancy splurging for yourself ;)

Well then, have a wonderful weekend folks whatever you have planned and I do hope your other halves love their prints!! x

So, when I said I was looking forward to the “calmer days over the autumn months‘ in my last post….umm, that may have been wishful thinking! ;) I’m not quite sure if there’s such a thing of ‘time standing still’ when you’re self-employed and living in London (especially when there’s two in the same boat!). There’s always something happening or never-ending things to catch up on…..it’s like my once ‘stable’ work-life balance and time-management skills are constantly being tested and scrutinised!

It’s all good though. Part and parcel of the new role and hey, “if it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great!” (Tom Hanks fans will know this one!)

As for calmer days…..well, I guess that’ll be Christmas break! ;)

Happy weekend! x

[Molu Mantra] Quote of the Week

MbM_MOLU-MANTRAS-0501 I’m not sure who stated this but it’s a brilliant outlook and I felt the need share it….and of course, it was a perfect excuse to brush up (pun intended) on the brush lettering ;) Don’t you agree though? I know we can’t always control everything that takes place in our life but you got to admit there are days when you think….seriously WTH? So on those crappy days….lets just remember this one eh? :) Enjoy the rest of the week. xx

Wedding Shoot 1 | For the love of copper

MbM_STYLED-SHOOT_APR-01

As I mentioned before, I’ve got two big styled shoots coming up next week with only a week between the two so there’s been a lot of designing and physically making things (as I do!). I’m also kinda pushing the boat out with some of the designs as bespoke installations, decor and signage for events is an area I want to be focusing more on with the business, aside from stationery and the other graphic design work I do.

So yeah, I thought I’d share a little peek into some of the work in progress to date. There is a lot of copper involved. In fact, both shoots involve copper as one of the primary colours but both individually different it style and design approach. These are a few brush lettered pieces I’ve done for the first shoot, and I can’t tell you enough how much i LOVE using this copper paint. It’s so deep and rich….every brush stroke was incredibly satisfying!!

Anyway, that’s really all for now. I’ve got a huge signage piece to work on over the weekend and a few bits and bobs which I’m sure you’ll see many sneak peeks of across other social media channels. I will apologise in advance for the copper overload (well, not really!) but it’s soo prettttyyyyy, you won’t blame me! ;)

Have a wonderful weekend folks and I’ll be back with more next week! xxx

Lunchtime doodling

MbM_lettering_feb1501(web)Nothing too fancy, but I’ve been trialling, testing and practicing some brush lettering and calligraphy in my spare time recently in the hope that I’m ready to launch my new Print Shop. It’s all in the works so it’s just a matter of getting it up and running this summer.

Lettering has suddenly become a massive trend right now and the virtual world is inundated with hand lettered prints which is great because there’s now a bigger demand for it but at the same time it means I do need to now focus on making mine different from the rest.

Is there anything you’d like to see more (or less) of. Or what kind typography based prints would you buy? Inspirational? Art? Abstract? Graphics? Your thoughts and feedback will be greatly appreciated! :) xx
