FREE VALENTINE’S DAY PRINTABLES

MbM_VDAY FREEBIE_MOCKUP_MAINHello lovelies!

The weekend is practically here…WOO. And I haven’t forgotten my little Valentine’s Day special for all you lovebirds out there, still on the hunt for last-minute gifts.

So I’ve put together THREE simple but funny/satirical typographic prints (including an anti-Valentine’s Day one) that you can easily print off, frame and gift your significant other…especially if they’re big into their prints. They are all set to A4 size which should make things easier for you guys if you have a printer at home or in your studio, and you can of course resize them and print them smaller. Perhaps as a series of framed prints? Anyhoo, I’ve provided both monochrome and colour version of the three prints so don’t fret if you haven’t got a colour printer!

Right then, for the prints, just click on the links below. For best results, print them onto good quality paper or some nice gesso paperstock if you have a fancy printer that takes varying paper weights.

Oh and do check out my Print Shop for more of my Typographic Prints….a bit late to order for Valentine’s day, mind you, but you can definitely browse and buy for other forthcoming occasions….or if you just fancy splurging for yourself ;)

Well then, have a wonderful weekend folks whatever you have planned and I do hope your other halves love their prints!! x

[D.I.Y. Valentine’s Special] For the love of chocolate!

MbM_DIY-Valentines_1501I’ve a cute last-minute Valentine’s Day DIY for all you chocaholics out there.  I’ve got to admit, the inspiration came from two of my favourite chocolate fiends; my hubby and my bestie…. who, FYI, are probably the most ridiculous chocolate addicts I know on this planet. Both aquarians too…hmmm, interesting.

Anyway, with them in mind, I couldn’t help but come up with these fun DIY wrap/sleeves which you can print at home and use to dress up those scrummy chocolate bars and present to your chocaholic (or non-chocaholic) better halves this Saturday! It’s a little different from your high street stuff that’s bound to put a little smile (perhaps even a chuckle) on their faces………that’s if they haven’t dived straight in and devoured the chocolate already! :)

MbM_DIY-Valentines_1507

So if you’d like to make these, simply click the download button below for the chocolate wrap/sleeve templates. They are all set up on an A4 sheet so all you gotta do is, print them out, fold, cut and wrap! Voila ;) The reason why i suggest folding before you cut is because you’ll still have the fold guide marks to follow. Also, I have to add that the templates are based on the 114g Galaxy chocolate bars. They should still fit around others like a 100g Lindt chocolate bar or the 150g Green & Black bars but it may need a bit of tweaking on the folding front. Sorry about that.  MbM_DOWNLOAD HERE button

What do you think? It’s so ridiculously simple (and cute), it’s hard not to give it a go! And hey, if you’re both chocaholics, then how amazing would it be to sit back this weekend and enjoy this special moment over a nice cuppa tea or hot chocolate! Mmmm yum!

Well, chocolate or no chocolate, I hope you all have a wonderful time this Valentine’s and just remember to show all this LOVE throughout the rest of the year too! ;) I wish I had more DIY tutorials for you this year like last year, but sadly (although good in other ways!) I’ve had lots of design work to prioritise. Anyway, have fun!! xxxx

[DIY Christmas] Free printable gift tags – round two!

MbM_Gift-Tags_2014_headerOkay, so if you liked (or didn’t! like!) the last set of free printable gift tags, then perhaps-these watercolour-inspired designs will take your fancy? I’m still pretty hooked on the water-colour textures since my hand-lettered quote post last week, and eager to explore more with the medium.

Anyhoo, while I do that…..you go treat yourself to these bad boys, that’s if you’re still got heaps of christmas wrapping still to do! You know the drill; just click HERE to download the PDF file and off you go! My big tip with these is that if you can get hold of slightly textured card stock (that your printer will obviously be able to take!) then use that, as it gives that extra bit of dimension to the tags and will totally look the handmade part! Again, these will be great teamed up with plain gift wrap and ribbon for that soft, elegant and minimal look.

Happy gift wrapping and do let me know how you get on if you decide to use them. NINE more sleeeeeeep till Christmas folks. Gosh, I really need to pull my socks up and get all the cards, and gifts sorted! Eeeeep! Bye for now….! xxx

[DIY Christmas] Free printable gift tags!

MbM_Gift-Tags_2014_main

I had hoped to have most of my Christmas presents sorted over the weekend but instead I got busy making some gift tags….as you do…..the sequence clearly made sense! Well, I was struggling with gift ideas so decided to move on to making Christmas cards….and one thing led to the other, and I found myself churning out a few designs, inspired by Scandinavian minimal motifs and the black-grey-yellow colour palette I’ve been crushing over a lot this year. I’ve also created a rubber stamp effect to add that extra bit of DIY feel.

Anyway, this may not be to everyone’s tastes as it is rather unconventional and modern but if it is, then today is your lucky day because you can get your hands on these by downloading the free printable I’ve added to this post. It works really well with plain coloured wrapping paper such as brown/manilla, white, monochrome, or even with bright colours…as long as it compliments the colour palette.

MbM_Gift-Tags_2014_03

So there you have it. You can click HERE, to download the PDF file. It’s already set to A4 size (the crop marks you find on the sheet indicate that) so, all you got to do is ‘save’ it to your computer and print it onto some nice card stock! It can’t get simpler than that! :) Oh and obviously, don’t forget to hole-punch them to string your ribbon, twine, whatever through it! ;)

Let me know, if you do decide to use these at all! I do actually have another design range which will be available real soon – stay tuned!! Happy gift-wrapping! xx

Love is in the air!

VALENTINES DAY 2webSo this day has finally arrived and no doubt all you love birds are celebrating Valentine’s Day in some form or the other! Well, I do hope it’s a lovely day for you all and that you’re able to express your love in many ways possible…..be it through food, gifts or simple creative gestures. However, if like me, you’re not all into cherubs, chocolates and flowers maybe you can find other ways to display/spread your love…….such as carrying out a kind gesture towards someone in need, stitch a message for your ‘im a piece‘ jigsaw project for the Save the Children’s Race Against Hunger Campaign or simply by giving the biggest and warmest hug to a friend or family you haven’t done so in ages?

Anyway, I had hoped to post this yesterday but having been away all day for meetings with no access to the internet I’ve been left with no choice but to do so now…..a bit late but hopefully it may be of some help for you last-minute do-ers? As my little contribution for today, I’ve drawn up a five simple valentine cards (A5 size) and have attached them here as free printables – feel free to print them out onto some nice heavyweight A4 paper or card (whatever your printer can take), crop along the edges (I’ve provided crop marks for you), fold it in half, pop it into a lovely pink envelope (a C5 size would suit perfectly) and give to your loved ones! The inside’s are left blank for your own personal love notes! :)

Happy Valentine’s Day folks! Lets spread the love! xx
