Okay, so I’ve a couple more d.i.y. projects from our wedding series to post on here before i’m all done (!!) and this is one of them: our lovely vintage-glam seating plan! This was beautifully designed and put together by my hubby (yep – he’s just as OCD as me which is a real bonus!) who then shipped it all the way over to Scotland for the big day! I’m afraid he didn’t get the chance to document a step-by-step series of his work in progress but I can tell you what he used: a combination of an old vintage white A0 size frame (isn’t it simply stunning!?) which he sourced from a seller on ebay, with brown eco-friendly gift tags, a printer, scalpel, purple ribbons, kappa board (foam board) used as packers and lastly…..a HUGE amount of patience!!! And these are the images taken on the day by our professional photographers. What do you think? Looks the part, doesn’t it? Well, I sure was proud of him!! :) xxx
When Ness announced she was getting hitched I was absolutlely over the moon!!! :) I’ve known this girl since 1st year of Uni…….met at our halls of residence in fact , and 11 years on still remain the bestest of friends. So I was of course thrilled to not only be her bridesmaid but also to be a part of helping them on the creative side of things. Their Glasgow summer wedding was a small, private and intimate affair with just their immediate family + close friends. The wedding took on a gorgeous summer garden theme with their colours being cobalt blue and yellow. The Craspedia flower that was used in the bouquets and buttonholes was the main motif used in the wedding stationery (as seen above) – from table numbers + seating chart tags to menus and ‘thank you’ tags for the favours. The lemon place cards also tied in well with their garden courtyard reception and added a burst of fresh colour to the tables. We even made the three bridesmaids bouquets ourselves too which I must say we were quite chuffed with!! :) More pictures from the wedding will be added here later but in the meantime, all I can say for now is that it truly was a wonderful wedding!!! Congrats again to Ness + Duncan! xx
